He Is Amazing.

You know I don’t always give Ashley enough credit.  The man is awesome in so many ways.  I wish each of you had the opportunity to know him the way I do.  He’s the most loving and nurturing person I have ever met.   The most goal oriented and driven person I know.  He is so protective of me and our family.  So protective of his little girl Parker.  We had so few moments with her but if y’all could have seen him when he was with her.  I had never seen his face light up the way it did when P was with him.  It gives me goosebumps thinking about it now.  He loves me in a way that is impossible to describe.  I still get butterflies when he pulls in the driveway and when we have date night it’s like the first night I met him except I’m more in love with him today than I was then.

Losing Parker taught us a lot.  Lessons we would have rather learned in a different manner but we’ll take what God gives us and roll with it.  People say that they are surprised we are still married but we aren’t.  We have been through a lot and although love isn’t everything it has helped see us through this journey.  I know that in 50 years Ashley and I will still be together and hopefully we’ll have a baby or two with another puppy or two.

Today was amazing.  He sent me 3 red roses and 1 yellow rose to work.  He came to work to pick me up for lunch and handed me the sweetest card ever.  It made me cry.  He bought me a Wii.  Yes, I said a Wii.  I love that man!  He listens even when I think he’s not listening.  Tonight we stayed home together.  We had dinner and played Wii together.  This anniversary could only have been better if Parker were physically here with us.

I love Ashley with all my heart and soul.  In the 3.5 years we’ve been together we have NEVER gone a day or night without telling each other that we love one another.  Even in the midst of anger.  I love him and I will make sure that he knows that every single day of his life.

Ashley- thank you for being my best friend.  For being the person I can always count on and for always standing beside me.  I love you.

Happy Anniversary, Ashley.

Today 3 years ago we made a promise to each other and to God and we’ve certainly been tested during the last 3 years but our love has surpassed it all.  I am so honored to be your wife, best friend and mother of Parker.  There are no words that could ever describe what you mean to me.  You are the most amazing husband and father.  You make me proud everyday to be your wife.  You make me a better person.  I love you with all my heart and soul and I look forward to the next 50+ years with you.

PSYCHO SHANNON IS FINALLY GONE AND IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER TO WATCH!

I’m so sad to see Niki leave but I think she has some control issues she should deal with before she gets in another relationship.  Her ending kind of put a bad taste in my mouth.

Can you believe he eliminated 2 other chicks….

I love you Jason!!!!  He got rid of all the girls I didn’t like last night! He’s a genius!

I cannot wait for DeAnna to come back and shake things up a bit.  I don’t like her because she broke Jason’s heart but I want to see how he reacts to her visit.  I have to say this season is my absolute favorite!  I cannot wait to see who Jason ends up with.

Tomorrow is our 3rd wedding anniversary.  How time flies.

Tuesday morning we woke up to 5 inches of snow.  It was the most gorgeous thing I have seen in a long time!  It meant no work which was was an extra bonus this week.  We were off on Monday for MLK day and an extra day was much needed.

I didn’t watch the inaugaration but did catch up on all my recorded shows and that was great because I was running out of room on the DVR.   I record most everything I watch because I don’t have time to watch it when the show originally airs and so the DVR is one of my best friends.  So many of my shows are back for new seasons and I’m so excited!  I love Nip/Tuck and Damages which are both on FX.   I am sad that Lipstick Jungle got dropped by NBC though and I am hoping another network picks it up before the next season starts.

Last two weekends we’ve spent at Parker’s House getting things ready for when Duke tours in February.  The house has taken on a huge transformation and it is no where completed yet.  I am so amazed at the countless volunteers and hours of work that has been put into the home.  It is one of the most peaceful and amazing places I have ever been too and I don’t say that because it’s Parker’s House but because of what it stands for and the people it supports.  I’ve attached a few before and after pictures and once we get some of the other done I’ll add more.  Our church is going up on Friday and Saturday to do more work and we are extremely grateful to the countless people who give up their time to make this house a home.

So, here we go…ten things I love that begin with the letter P.

We are supposed to get 4 inches of snow tonight and I hope we do because I’d love to stay home from work tomorrow so I can get some much needed house work done.   We bought the most gorgeous leather recliner today and rearranged our living room with the help of my very talented sister.  It looks like a new place.  I’m going to start searching for a new dining room table for the kitchen.  We’ve decided that instead of building our dream home in the next two years we’ll stay here and add another bathroom and 10 feet to this house and pay it off in five years.  It’s a great cozy home and I love it and I’m quite attached to it.   I’m going to redo the office and sunroom/laundry room next and I’m searching for some fabric for new pillows for the couch.  Decorating is very therapeutic for me and I need that these days.

Isn’t it interesting that while our country is in an economic crisis our new President is going to have the most expensive inauguration party in history at 160 million dollars?  Not sure this is the kind of change I want but then again he wasn’t the president I wanted either.  I guess I’ll be praying more these days that our country will survive the next four years both morally and financially.

We had our 4th family move into Parker’s House last night.  They are the sweetest couple and we are constantly humbled by God’s work in our lives.  Please keep the Ashworth’s and Myers in your prayers.  I’m going to get back to laundry and cleaning up the kitchen.

Hope everyone is staying warm tonight!
